Wedding dress designer, Claudia Arrieta, asked me to do a photo session of her latest designs in various locations of Marbella. I loved the idea, given that she has a very different style to that of other designers, with wedding dresses that are simple and elegant, with a modern and retro touch. This is something I don’t usually find these days in weddings in Marbella and Andalucia, and very little in Spain in general.
Weddings in Spain are becoming simpler, more personalised and modern, the bride and groom search for photographers, locations and details that fit with their personality and also search for dresses that do the same. This makes the weddings increasingly more intimate and real and not a repetitive or commercial formality without life.
I am a wedding photographer but I love doing other types of editorial or portrait sessions that allow me to explore new fields, take new paths and see where they take me.
Almar G. Sato was the model chosen, a girl that with a depth in her gestures, her look and an innate simplicity and naturalness, made Claudia Arrieta feel that she was the perfect model to wear her dresses. Almar G. Sato’s magnificent work was completed by the work of the fantastic make-up artist, Rebeca Herrero. Great team! It was a real pleasure, thanks girls! I hope you like this photo session.
