Today I’m going to show you an elopement in Marbella, an intimate wedding and which in addition, I’ve had the honour of being published in one of the world’s most important wedding blogs, ‘RocknRollBride’.
When I met Satu, John and their daughter Agnes, I felt that they were a very special family, a couple that loved nature, animals, vegetarian food and in general, simple things. They decided to get married on a mountain in Marbella, very close to the countryside house where they spend the summer in Spain. They wanted to convert a normal day into a very special date, and for that reason it was an intimate wedding, very natural, with their daughter, dog and a pretty blue bicycle, as the only witnesses.
They were looking for a wedding photographer in Marbella and I was lucky that they felt they could identify with my photography. They asked me to spend the whole with them and that I show everything that happened on the day, as if it were any other day, and for that reason I was with them from the moment that they got up. For me, as a wedding photographer and above all as someone who loves to capture life, this day was magic and they made me feel like an additional member of the family and from that trust and freedom that they gave me, I started to take photos from when they were still in bed at their simple countryside house, having only recently woken up and I couldn’t stop.
The normality and simplicity of Satu and John’s life’s routine is in my opinion what turns this shoot into a very special account. I hope that with my photography I not only tell the story of a wedding but in addition, I hope to show you how they are and how Satu and John live. I hope you enjoy with this intimate wedding in Spain.
