Once again, my job as photographer takes me to places further afield, to tell stories outside of my city, this time, An intimate wedding in Gibraltar.
Eva and Ben are a lovely, friendly couple who met in Pekin, during Ben’s holidays. Eva is from China and Ben is German, although they are currently living in Switzerland. The couple decided to have an intimate wedding in Gibraltar, and I had the great fortune of them choosing me as their photographer. It was a simple and intimate wedding, the two of them alone, which granted them their wish of the experience being something beautiful and intense, to enjoy each present moment and to declare their love to one another, and this is exactly how it was.
They got changed in the ‘La Roca’ hotel, and whilst Eva got ready, Ben waited for her in the hotel’s hall, for the first meeting, one of the most intimate and emotional moments of the day. The ceremony took place at the civil registry office, where in addition to working as a photographer, I had the fun experience of participating as a witness and signing the marriage document, given that there was nobody else present. After the ceremony, we passed through the cities most charismatic streets, taking photos. We even ended up taking some photos on a beautiful beach, where we were alone, free from all other people. When I arrived back to Malaga, I felt this great happiness from having had such a lovely day, spent together with this friendly, wonderful couple, to whom I wish all the best in their new phase as a married couple.
