There are special people in this world, and also special places, and when the two come together, magical weddings happen. Viktoriya and Yuriy’s wedding was one of those in which you feel love and warmth radiating from everyone, from every corner. As the day unfolded, it felt as though everything became increasingly moving and emotional. I was really made to feel a part of the day and to be able to feel like that, as a wedding photographer, is something very special, so I’m extremely grateful for that.
The couple’s personalities made this wedding something unique and distinct. One of the most original things about the wedding was the musical duo, ‘Tribal Baroque’, who came all the way to Malaga from the USA, especially for the occasion. They were truly incredible musicians and stayed for the entirety of the day.
The wedding was intimate and homely. The guests, most of whom came from Canada, gathered at the ‘Rancho Del Ingles’ and came together as if at home, which created this wonderful sensation that could be felt in the air. The Rancho Del Ingles, for me, is one of the best places to get married in Malaga. It’s calm, peaceful and one of the most original that can be found in the province.
Viktoriya now tells us how it was for her, one of the most important days of her life:
The overall memory of the wedding is the one of overwhelming love not only of the two of us towards each other but of all the people at the wedding towards each other. People were saying long toasts and competing for the right to tell the next one. One guest even sang a song in Chinese language for us. Our very special musicians sang an ode to our love at the end of which both the singer and the two of us were filled to the brims with intensity of love that was in the air. All that was also balanced by jokes & anecdotes that were filling the lively buzz at each of the tables. For the two of us some specific moments do stand out as we recollect through the mental mementos of that night. At first, of course, the actual ceremony itself: the moment when Viktoriya’s father took her down the villa’s stairway towards the ceremonial gaziboo and then the two of us saying “I do”. The other two moments that stand out strikingly in our memory is when we had our first dance barefeet and the above-mentioned ode to love by Tribal Baroque which left us both crying.
RANCHO DEL INGLES
We wanted to celebrate our day in a place to felt like us and Rancho del Ingles resonated with both of us the moment we saw it on pictures. There is a lot of greenery and space yet it’s got everything needed to host a large party in style & comfort.
“We both were really impressed with David’s past work. He has a talent for both capturing a non-trivial moment as it happens while also having the taste and patience to give the pictures the kind of post-processing that really brings out a story out of each shot”
